Glycoarrays Open Day 18th October 2006
The Glycoarrrays Open Day on the 18th of October 2006 attracted scientists from UK and European academia and industry. It was designed to present the work of the Glycoarrays Consortium at the half-way stage of their RCUK funded project (‘Glycoarrays – strategies for high-throughput screening of the glycome’) and held at the Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre (MIB). The number of registrations reached 130 and delegates enjoyed lectures by consortium members during the morning, an extensive poster session over lunch and presentations by Tony Cass (Imperial College London) and Markus Aebi (ETH Zürich) which provided a broad context for the project. The scientific part of the day was rounded off with a lively discussion followed by a wine reception and a brief tour of the MIB.
The organisers would like to thank all those taking part during the day and the companies that sponsored the event (Biacore, Molecular Devices, Arrayjet, and Genomic Solutions)
